May 27, 2019 - Week 11 - Woodstown, NJ

Hello hello friends🌞

It's another sunny day here in Woodstown, New Jersey and things are going so good! Im trying to work on my tan but it's kind of hard. I hope all of you are having fun this memorial day!

This week was so busy! We had so many things that we did but it was all worth it and we had so much fun! Yesterday was by far the best day though. Sundays are always the funday!

To start off church was so good! The Relief Society lesson was on the talk "Christ: the light that shines in darkness" by Sharon Eubank. I would like to encourage all of you to go and read it. I love how she uses different stories to show how Christ is our light. The light always overcomes darkness, and that light is Christ.

We had dinner with some members and we played some basketball. I dont mean to brag but Sister Tenney and I did winπŸ’πŸ½️ It was so much fun!

After we went to go visit a referral from the Spanish elders. Their names were Santiago and Jorge. Santiago had met with missionaries about a year and a half ago and he is still super interested in learning more. Jorge is his nephew and is asking soul searching questions like, what is my purpose? They are so so ready to hear our message. We taught the whole restoration and they were loving it! I am so excited to watch them progress.

Well our garden is doing okay... We have some flowers that are growing very well, and others are still getting eaten. We planted some more so we'll see what happens there.

I hope that all of you have an amazing week and it's full of fun! Remember that if you feel that you are in the darkness, reach for Christ and He will bring light. It is there and he wants you with Him. He loves each one of us and I know that all He wants of us is for us to reach out to Him and take His hand. I love you all! stay awesome

May 20, 2019 - Week 10 - Woodstown, NJ

Happy Monday everyone!

So this week was so so good! We did a lot of missionary work like usualπŸ˜‹ I have officially survived my first transfer and I am so happy to still be in Woodstown. We had some really good lessons on Wednesday and Friday! It is always such a good feeling when you teach a great lesson.

So update on our garden, some bunnies decided to attack it and the rain wiped some of them out too. We do have a few survivors though! I'm really hoping that some flowers decide to bloom haha.

We also decided to go get some good sushi on Tuesday. It was a lot better than the sashimi we got a few weeks ago. But when we were leaving the restaurant I may have almost stolen their glass cup. I almost walked out of that place with it🀦🏽‍♀️ The workers were even looking at me really weird but didn't even say anything, it was so awkward.... Dont still restaurant glasses people!πŸ˜‚

So this week I was reading the war chapters in the Book of Mormon. In particular it was when Amalickiah kept telling Lahonti to come down from the high ground. The first few times he asked Lahonti to come all the way down, but the last time he told Lahonti to come down just a little bit. Later because he decided to come down Lahonti was killed, and his people were taken as prisoners.

This is how satan works, he tries to get us to come down just a little from our high ground. The high ground is the safe ground. It sees the first light of the morning and the last light of the evening. Don't lower your standards for anyone or anything. I know and promise that as we stay on the high ground and stay in the light. We are able to have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost and feel closer to God. STAY ON THE HIGH GROUND!❤

Love you all! And I hope y'all have an amazing week!

May 13, 2019 - Week 9 - Woodstown, NJ

Hello Friends!

This week honestly flew by!! We have been busy this week and it has been so good. We had a super spiritual lesson on Friday with Elizabeth. She is the greatest ever! It was so good.

So a weekly garden update, it has been very very rainy here. Our garden is basically mud so if our plants survive the Jersey rain, they can survive anything!!

Yesterday was mothers day and it was so fun to talk to my family!! I just want to say how much I love my mom and she has done so much for me!! She is my angel and my best friend. She is the best mom I could ever ask for. I LOVE YOU MOM! Also thanks to all the woman in my life that have basically been like moms to me.

One of the greatest examples of mothers is in the Book of Mormon. I always think about the strippling warriors and how courageous they were. They knew that God would deliver them from the hands of their enemies because of the teachings from their mothers. They didn't doubt that their moms had a testimony they didn't doubt that their mothers knew it.

I know that my mom has a testimony and it is because of her faith that I have been able to build my own testimony. Mothers are the greatest gifts from God. Please tell your mom that you love her every day and never go a day without thanking her. I hope all of you mothers had a great mothers day!

I love you all and I hope y'all will have a great week!! Also I hit my 2 month mark today!! Yay only 16 more haha.

May 6, 2019 - Week 8 - Woodstown, NJ

Hola everyone!

This week was a weird but a good one. Nothing very exciting happened so it will be a shorter email.

Our garden is growing beautifully! The flowers are starting to sprout! I am so excited to have pretty things to look at outside the window. Not just a dunkin donuts drive thru.

On Wednesday we got to go to Philly again! I love the city so much! Just the best ever! We also got to go to chickfila. That seriously made my whole week. I honestly think I am going through withdrawals.

Fast sunday was so good!! So many amazing testimonies were shared. I remembered I used to be terrified to share my testimony, but look at me now! I'm serving a mission. I am still working on getting out of my comfort zone but God has helped me.

Bearing testimony is the strongest most powerful thing that you can do! It may be scary to share the gospel, but I know that as each of us do missionary work and minister to others, we will be blessed and those we share with will be blessed also. I'd like to challenge each one of you to share your testimony with someone. And I can promise you that God will guide your words as you open your mouth to testify of Him. I know he loves all his children and wants them to live with Him again.

I love you all and hope you have such a great week!!
